  • Raw foods have become very popular these days and for very good reasons. I will point out many of them in this article. 
  •  Raw food is a vegetarian food that is not baked, cooked, or heated over 48 Celsius, about 120 Fahrenheit, degrees.
  •  Raw food can be classified into four main types: vegetables and fruits, sprouts of all kinds, dehydrated breads and fruits, and fermented food with friendly germs. 
  •  In this article, I want to discuss how we should start to consume raw food as a healthy raw food diet.

It is a known fact that many well-known people have consumed raw food since 1500 BC. Among them are Leonardo de Vinci, Russo, Hippocrates, Tolstoy, and many others. Today, many famous people follow in their footsteps and consume raw food as a healthier way of life, maintaining a great appearance as a bonus.                 Before we start eating raw foods, we need to better understand the biggest benefit of eating live foods. In one word: enzymes. When food is heated above 48 degrees, all the enzymes die and we lose their blessed work. Our body creates enzymes to help it with some of the most important tasks it performs. They help in adjusting the food and consume less food but enjoy better feeding.  Unlike heavily cooked food which is less nutritious. 

One of the most important side effects of eating raw foods is maintaining a healthy body weight. This is not the topic of this article, but the problems of being overweight are well-known: high blood pressure, heart disease, etc. We can enjoy the following benefits if we maintain a normal weight: a better immune system, a better night's sleep, more energy, a better digestive system, avoiding skin diseases, less fat in the blood, and living longer.

Another important element is consuming the correct blend of foods without mixing the wrong types of foods.  It is important to avoid mixing vegetables and fruits, sweet fruits and sour fruits, and fat and fruits.  The reason is that every food group is digested by a different enzyme. The mixing of these foods can lead to a swollen stomach, unpleasant heavy {fullness} feeling, and an urge to take a nap even if you have just eaten and you are supposed to be energetic.

I hope that by now you are convinced that consuming raw food could change your life for the better.  But how we should start to gormandize raw food?  Here are a few quick tips on how should you start to change your diet:

Start with adding raw foods to your diet, Instead of taking foods out.

  1. Drink only natural squeezed juices. Especially green juice made from celery, cucumber, and green leaves. (Try cucumber, celery, green leaves, some ginger, and ¼ of lemon).
  2. Start your dinner and lunch with more salad. Add seeds and nuts.
  3. Start eating nuts, almonds, and seeds as snacks.  Or some fruit.
  4. Start to remove slowly processed food. At the start twenty {20} percent raw food and eighty {80} percent not then slowly change the relation.

 

It is interesting to note that in time when you start eating only raw food your body will start to clean all toxins that could be accompanied by bad breath, gazes, etc. This is considered normal and a sign that your body is getting one step closer to a better healthy clean state.
